Elisabet Llopart-Saumell is a postdoctoral researcher at Universitat d’Alacant thanks to a Juan de la Cierva-Training grant from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. She has a B.A. in Translation and Interpreting, a M.A. in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics and a Ph.D. in Linguistic Communication and Multilingual Mediation Cum Laude from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. She is a member of the Institut Superior d’Investigació Cooperativa IVITRA (ISIC-IVITRA) (Universitat d’Alacant), the Internationales Institut für Iberische Studien (Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg), and the Institut de Lingüística Aplicada (IULA) (Universitat Pompeu Fabra). She specializes in Lexicology, especially in Neology, but also in Terminology and Lexicography, where she combines different perspectives and methodologies, from Morphology to Discourse Analysis and Pragmatics, with a prominent interest in Cognition.
