Bio

Josep V. Garcia holds a B.A. in Catalan Studies (2012) and a Master of Language Education (2014; “Professorat d’Educació Secundària Obligatòria i Batxillerat, Formació Professional i Ensenyament d’Idiomes”) from the University of Alicante (Spain). He is a member of the Institut Superior d'Investigació Cooperativa IVITRA (ISIC-IVITRA) (Universitat d'Alacant); and the Internationales Institut für Iberische Studien (Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg). He was a Predoctoral Research Staff at the University of Alicante with a grant awarded by the Generalitat Valenciana (VALi+d Program). He recived his PhD in July 2018 Cum Laude with a dissertation on L’expressió del temps en català modern i contemporani: acostament a través de la lingüística de corpus i la gramàtica cognitiva (he studies the evolution of some temporal constructions in Modern and Contemporary Catalan (17th through 20th c.), under the direction of Prof. Josep Martines and Associate Prof. Carles Segura (Universitat d’Alacant) within the International PhD Program “Transferències Interculturals i Històriques en l’Europa Mediterrània Medieval”. He is a "Professor Associat" (Univerisity of Alicante).
